Runners at mile 21

There's the lead pack again. Notice it is only 5 now, with the sixth guy coming through by himself, about a block back. He has lost the group.

Yeah, a local woman comes through in first. This woman would eventully become the surprise winner . . .
after this woman, who led most of the early race, dropped out due to the heat.




The runners are wet from sweat and garden hoses offered by residents earlier in the race.
