Greenpoint Warehouse Terminal fire cont.


The water being shot from the ladders is not making much a an impact. There are over 170 firefighters there now, and it has become a 6 alarm fire.


They are shooting water on the tanker next to the warehouses. What is in there? This could be very bad.

All that is left of the skeletal brick wall seen in earlier posts, is the 2 thick dark brick towers seen to left in the photo.









The fire has spread quite a way south as you can see from the flames in the left of the picture. They are worried about it jumping the street now (getting these on site updates from NY1). this is at West street and Calyer in Greenpoint. Posted by Picasa
