Its April 1st - and Astroland is now open. That means CYCLONE season. Yahooo!
This is the beginning of the Cyclone's 80th season.
A trip to Coney Island is not complete without a trip to Nathan's, which today also provded welcome warmth and protection from the wind outside.
This will be the last year that Astroland will be around. Development of a new amusement park complex will start at the end of this year, and will be completed in 2011. Luckily, the Cyclone will be saved, but will it be up and running during the the redevelopment?
