Cocktail Party at New York Stock Exchange

Wohoo! An only in New York opportunity - a cocktail party on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), as a utility company from the West Coast (CEO'd by my good friend which explains the invite) is publicly listed for the first time, after getting out from under the clutched of Enron. It's great fun watching someone you know ring the opening bell. How cool is that?

Yes, this proves it. We really are inside the NYSE. And we know how to get out.

No, these people are not buying and selling stock. They are raising a toast: "We're PGE, we're Enron free"!

Got a peek at the newest trading room, linked to the main floor by a corridor and ceremoniously labeled "the new room". Posted by Picasa
