Cruise ships leave port daily at about 5pm. They take one last look at Copacabana beach, then head straight out to sea. Next to that photo is the famous patterned sidewalk of Copacabana, created and still maintained by hand. This is just one of the numerous patterns around town.
What are they celebrating? Being in Rio on the beach as near as I can tell. Out here, its a party.
85-88 is the daily high (its summer here now), and a low of about 78. It always hot!
